Jamie Babbit was in Tel Aviv this week to accept the annual TLV Fest (the city’s LGBT film festival) Award, and the festival paid tribute with screenings of all her films, including a 15th anniversary showing of her now classic debut, “But I’m a Cheerleader” (which placed in the top 20 on our reader’s poll of important LGBT films, with Babbit herself among the top filmmakers). 

It was a lively screening that reminded us how much we heart that film, and one followed by a Q&A with Babbit, who — among other things — said she’s re-teaming with “Cheerleader” star Natasha Lyonne for her next film:
