Watch: Wes Anderson Die-Hards Recreate 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' Using Legos

If Wes Anderson’s latest picture “The Grand Budapest Hotel” wasn’t cartoony enough for you, master Lego builder Ryan Ziegelbauer and his team’s model hotel might do it for you.

In honor of the June 17th Blu-ray release of the acclaimed film, Fox Searchlight has released a video showing Ziegelbauer and his group of builders as they attempt to replicate the pink hotel that is the staple landmark in Anderson’s picture.

The project took 575 hours to complete and required more than 50,000 certified Lego bricks, which were sourced from Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Germany, Italy and 14 different states in the U.S. Once completed, the final model will weigh approximately 150 pounds and stand 7 feet tall and 6.5 feet wide.
