With “Boyhood” expanding into more theaters this weekend, it needs a bit of viral marketing to help it along its way to prosperity. Okay — it’s actually doing just fine on its own, but that didn’t stop the fine felines at The Pet Collective from producing a remarkable video tribute — or parody, depending on your interpretation — to Richard Linklater’s achievement: “Cathood.”
Featuring adorable performances from Patricia Ourcat, Collar Catrane, and Eatin Hawk (by far the best pun of the year, if not ever), “Cathood” is too cute to be spoiled, but we still won’t run that risk. Watch it below, and check out the real thing at a theater near you this weekend.
