Watch: Tatiana Maslany Brought To Tears at Comic-Con When 'Orphan Black' Fan Says The Show Helped Her Come Out

While Comic-Con isn’t exactly a haven for LGBT news (except maybe a lot of superhero abs for the gay boys), there was one event this weekend that was an exception to that rule: The “Orphan Black” panel, where a fan of the show brought Tatiana Maslany to tears when she explained that the show pushed her to finally come out.

“First of all, I wanted to thank you,” the fan said. “Before I started watching the show, I was really in the closet and i was totally ashamed of who I was. I just hated myself… I started watching the show and seeing Cosima and seeing that everything is not about her sexuality and she is more than her sexuality.”

To make matters even more heartwarming, Maslany pulled the girl past security to hug her.
