A few days after kinda sorta calling out suggestions that he has a live-in boyfriend, James Franco has Instagrammed the first image from his newest queer-interest project (of like a thousand at this point): "Michael," the true story of Michael Glatze, a San Francisco gay activist who somehow evolved himself into an ex-gay Christian fundamentalist.
Based on Benoit Denizet-Lewis’s 2011 New York Times article "My Ex-Gay Friend," the film is produced by Gus Van Sant and directed by newcomer Justin Kelly. We’re definitely curious how it turns out — and at this rate we should find out at some point in the first half of 2015 (maybe even Sundance?).
