Here's How to Light Your Film Using an IKEA Trash Can

Talk about no-budget filmmaking! In this handy video tutorial, David F. Sandberg shows how he shot his short horror film "Not So Fast" using a trash can from IKEA and other household items.

"I wanted it to look like Lotte was in a sea of darkness," Sandberg explains. He created a rig using an IKEA trashcan that he punched a hole in and an IKEA light socket. To concentrate the light, he taped foil inside and added a compact fluorescent that he bought from ebay. Why didn’t we think of that?
