Kickstarter Film Festival Hits Los Angeles

Kickstarter Film Festival Hits Los Angeles

Kickstarter has made a lot of projects possible, including many films, and as there are more Kickstarter creators in Los Angeles than anywhere in the world, the crowdsourcing site is continuing the 4th Annual Kickstarter Film Festival–which launched in Brooklyn’s Fort Greene (where the company is headquartered) on July 18 –in Los Angeles. London is still to come.
Three hours clips and footage from such Kickstarter hits as “Obvious Child,” Sundance doc award-winner “Rich Hill,” animated films “Me & Ewe” and “Stan” will screen September 12 at Griffith Park’s Autry Museum in L.A. Multiple food, drink and film festivities will happen from 6-11pm.
Fittingly, given its Internet origins, Kickstarter is also giving fans the option to have a mini festival in their own backyard, offering a high-quality stream of programming that went live on July 18.
