Teaser Trailer: Street Harassment Triggers a Combat Veteran's PTSD in New Short Film 'Violation'

Written and directed by Jevonne Bowman-Bullock, “Violation” is a short film that “explores sexual violence against African American women through the lens of Shayla, a female combat veteran, and her experience with street harassment. Juxtaposing the experience of living in violent communities with the dangerous and unpredictable environment of war, Violation explores PTSD as a valid response to both.”

Bowman-Bullock says she was inspired to write the story after experiencing street harassment on her way to and from independent film sets in the wee hours in New York City.

Now she and her team are looking to raise $5,000 on Indiegogo to produce her short film. Find their teaser for the project below, and to donate click HERE or the widget at bottom.
