The /bent Wants You To Write About LGBT Films Contest

The /bent Wants You To Write About LGBT Films Contest

Providing a forum for critiques, reviews and reflections on LGBT movies is one of the main reasons for our existence. And we want your participation! Whether you’d like to write a traditional review or a personal essay — your engagement with today’s queer cinema landscape will be rewarded when you send us your piece this month about one of these two exciting recent releases from WolfeOnDemand.comGetting Go: The Go Doc Project (the innovative gay feature from the creators of Were The World Mine) and Who’s Afraid of Vagina Wolf? (the hilarious lesbian romantic comedy).

The rules are simple: Send us your review/commentary/critique on one of these films between now and September 1st (email it to thebentblog@gmail.com with the subject line “CONTEST”). Your piece should be no less than 200 words and ideally no more than 600. Be sure to include your name and email address. We will select the three reviews of each film that we feel are the most interesting/accomplished pieces and the winners will receive codes for two free monthly film rentals for a year from WolfeOnDemand.com — the global LGBT movie platform (that’s 24 free rentals for a nearly $100 value). The competition is only open to writers in the US and Canada (though WolfeOnDemand films are available worldwide). Of course we will also publish your reviews on /bent — launching your career as a professional online film critic! Submit NOW, this promotion ends September 1st.

Here are links to watch both films at WolfeOnDemand.com (they are both streaming for $3.99 US).
