The La Costa Film Festival is taking on any potential sophomore slump with an ambitious program. The second incarnation of the festival — hosted in beachy Carlsbad, CA — will screen 42 films from 13 countries, hold a world premiere (“Brothers In Exile”), host a special tribute to Ed Harris and feature numerous panels and events (including galas).
The festival has a sports-themed bent. It features an unusual juried category specifically for sports-related films (features, documentaries and shorts) with a special partnership with Mandalay Sports Media.
