It feels like the previous TV season (summer aside) ended only recently, when it’s actually been several months now, as a new fall TV season kicks off in a matter of days, with most of your favorite shows (those that weren’t canceled after last season; and let’s not forget the new shows that’ll debut) returning with all new episodes to delight.
One of those series just might be “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” – a series that got some coverage on this, thanks in large part to the appearances of actors like J. August Richards, Ruth Negga, and Pascale Armand, in guest-starring, or recurring roles.
And we’ll likely continue to talk about the show on this blog during the upcoming second season of the series, thanks to the presence of B.J. Britt as Agent Antoine Triplett, and, a new addition to the cast of heroes, Henry Simmons as Alphonso “Mac” Mackenzie. So we’ve got Antoine and Alphonso to pay some attention to.
Above, Marvel released a first look at our heroes for the season!
From left to right, that’s B.J. Britt as Agent Antoine Triplett, Chloe Bennet as Agent Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Clark Gregg as Director Phil Coulson, Nick Blood as Lance Hunter, Henry Simmons as Alphonso “Mac” Mackenzie, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons and Brett Dalton as Grant Ward (although maybe he’s not such a hero after all).
And like last season, there just might be a surprise appearance by a Marvel character or two, linking the Marvel TV and film universes together.
“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” premieres Tuesday, September 23, at its new time, 9pm ET on ABC.
