Morgan Spurlock & Paul Allen Tap Auteurs for Short Film Series 'We the Economy'

The series will blend animation, comedy, nonfiction and narrative to investigate the current state of the US economy. “We the Economy” will launch in October across VOD, online, broadcast, mobile and theatrical platforms. 

Here’s the full list of directors, many of whom are respected film and TV actors and auteur filmmakers:

Working closely with economists, directors will helm five to eight-minute films across five chapters centered on the economy, money, government, globalization and inequality.

Economic advisors onboard this Vulcan/Cinelan coproduction include “Empire of Wealth” author John Steele Gordon, NYT’s Neil Irwin, NPR’s Adam Davidson and Dean Baker, co-founder of the Center for Economic and Policy Research.  More info here.
