Watch: Ken Burns Gets the Ken Burns Treatment in Documentary Spoof

Ken Burns is back on PBS this week with “The Roosevelts: An Intimate History,” a 14-hour documentary examining the influential titular family and how they affected American expansion, politics and more. For Burns, the celebrated documentarian behind projects such as “The Civil War,” “Jazz,” “The War” and more, “The Roosevelts” represents yet another ambitious attempt to condense sprawling history (he tracks the Roosevelts for more than a century between 1858-1962) into a streamlined narrative.

In celebration of Burns’ return to PBS, Los Angeles comedy ensemble Lost Moon Radio is sending up the award-winning filmmaker in their latest online sketch video, “Ken Burns’ Ken Burns.” Featuring a handful of sham interview subjects, ranging from Burns’ chiropractor to a rival documentarian, the humorous clip parodies everything from the Ken Burns cropping effect to the director’s indisputable pull at PBS.

Watch the parody below, and catch “The Roosevelts” on PBS all this week.
