Droll humor and 70’s staches seem to be key ingredients for “Space Station 76.” This 70’s-inspired sci-fi parody film showcases mega stars Patrick Wilson, Matt Bomer, Liv Tyler and more donning their best Farrah hairstyles and retro space suits. The film, inspired by writer and director Jack Plotnick’s play, follows the quirky characters through their trials and tribulations when a new female commander (Liv Tyler) comes to shake things up at the station.
Tackling thematic issues such as gender discrimination in the work place (a la “Anchorman”) and space station hierarchy, “Space Station 76” is an unconventional slapstick comedy that revels in awkward moments like the one shown below.
