Writer-director John Herzfeld has assembled one massive, star-studded ensemble for “Reach Me,” a comedy-drama about a motivational book author (Tom Berenger) whose self-help novel goes viral and inspires numerous fans to confront their own fears. Starring opposite Berenger is — deep breath — Sylvester Stallone (“The Expendables 3”), Kevin Connolly (“Entourage”), Kyra Sedgwick (“The Closer”), Cary Elwes (“The Princess Bride”), Terry Crews (“The Expendables 3”), Thomas Jane (“The Punisher”), Nelly (“Hot in Herre”), Danny Aiello (“Do the Right Thing”), Ryan Kwanten (“True Blood”), Danny Trejo (“Con Air”,) Lauren Cohan (“The Walking Dead”), Kelsey Grammer (“The Expendables 3”) and Tom Sizemore (Indiegogo) — phew! That’s a lot of names.
Deadline has released an exclusive new trailer for the film that hints at all the interconnected stories, including that of a hip-hop mogul (Nelly), a journalist (Connolly) his editor (Stallone), an ex-inmate (Sedgwick) and a ruthless undercover cop (Jane). Millennium Entertainment picked up the film’s distribution rights earlier this year at the Cannes Film Festival and will release it in theaters and On Demand November 21.
