‘Foxcatcher’ Will Close AFI Fest

'Foxcatcher' Will Close AFI Fest

"Foxcatcher" is getting the red carpet treatment at AFI Fest. Sony Pictures Classics’ fact-based Oscar hopeful starring Steve Carrell as schizophrenic wrestling coach John du Pont was actually slated to play AFI last year, but Cannes 2014 ended up being the film’s true world premiere. Why? It simply wasn’t ready.

This intense murder tale also stars Channing Tatum, Mark Ruffalo, Vanessa Redgrave and Sienna Miller. AFI Fest presented by Audi will screen "Foxcatcher" on Thursday, November 13 at the fest’s newest Hollywood venue, the Dolby Theatre. As previously announced, AFI Fest opens November 6 with J.C. Chandor’s "A Most Violent Year."

The film hits theaters on November 14.
