For one night only, on October 20, people all over the U.S. can enjoy an evening of free and educational cinema. In partnership with Landmark Theatres, Paul G. Allen’s Vulcan Productions and Morgan Spurlock’s Cinelan will hold a nationwide preview of new film series “We the Economy: 20 Short Films You Can’t Afford to Miss.”
In 20 cities nationwide, Landmark Theatres will host the preview at no charge for attendees. “We the Economy” pairs award-winning creatives with economic experts, creating stories that explore the U.S. economy, and how it effects all of us.
Says director Jessica Yu in the series trailer: “There’s a dividing line between people who understand these concepts and people who don’t, and that’s something the series will help erase.”
The series features contributions from: Catherine Hardwicke, Adrian Grenier, Marshall Curry, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Jeffrey Sachs, Werner Herzog, Joseph Stiglitz, Morgan Spurlock, and many more.
