Written and directed by Rock, “Top Five” centers on successful comedian, played by Rock, who is desperate to reinvent himself and thusly agrees to be interviewed by a down-to-earth New Yorker reporter (Rosario Dawson). Kevin Hart, Cedric the Entertainer and Whoopi Goldberg are just a few of the many famous faces of comedy who make appearances throughout the film.

As you can see in the trailer below, sparks fly — both intellectual and romantic — whenever reporter and subject share a scene together.

“Top Five” will open in select theaters on December 5 and expand nationwide on December 12.
