The first trailer for writer-director Richard Zelniker’s coming-of-age film “As Night Comes” has landed, and it features plenty of fast-paced ominous violence to gets moviegoers ready for the dark drama’s upcoming release.
Formerly titled “Mischief Night,” “As Night Comes” follows Sean Holloway (Myko Olivier, “Castle”), a troubled new student who befriends a group of teenage outcasts called “The Misfits.” Under the watchful eye of charismatic leader Ricky (Luke Baines, “The Ever After”), Holloway gets pulled into a sinister world where an anarchist plan for revenge spirals out of control, culminating in a brutal act of violence and Sean’s own fight for survival.
Co-starring Evanne Friedmann (“iCarly”), Stacia Hitt (“Neighbors”) and Jesse Kove (“Axe Giant: The Wrath of Paul Bunyan”), “As Night Comes” is set for a week-long Los Angeles theatrical release at Laemmle’s prestigious Music Hall in Beverly Hills beginning November 14. Shortly after, the high school thriller will be available in 100 million homes throughout the United States and Canada on December 5 via a VOD deal with distributor Gravitas Ventures.
