In writer-director Susanna Fogel’s debut feature film, “Life Partners,” television stars Leighton Meester (“Gossip Girl”) and Gillian Jacobs (“Community”) play Sasha and Paige, 29-year-old codependent best friends who face a number of growing pains after the later begins a relationship with a charming young doctor (Adam Brody, who previously co-starred with Meester in the 2011 suburban dramedy “The Oranges”).
Does growing up mean growing apart? It’s the question at the heart of the new trailer for the film, which premiered earlier this year at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival. Although the comedy-drama won’t hit theaters until December 5, Magnolia Pictures will be releasing the feature on iTunes and VOD platforms November 6.
