HBO has released the first official trailer for “Olive Kitteridge,” a four-part miniseries that examines secrets and tragedies of a seemingly quiet New England town.
The drama spans 25 years and focuses on the marriage of a middle school math teacher and the town pharmacist, played by Frances McDormand and Richard Jenkins respectively. Bill Murray and John Gallagher Jr. also star with Lisa Cholodenko (“The Kids Are Alright”) directing. If the trailer is any indication, the show is sure to be a heart-wrencher balanced with enough black humor to keep us chuckling darkly to ourselves between the tears.
