A24 and DIRECTV to Release 'Dark Places,' Starring Charlize Theron

A24 and DIRECTV announced the acquisition of “Dark Places” late last week. Audiences will be chuffed to know they can watch the film exclusively on DIRECTV for 30 days before it opens theatrically.
“Dark Places” is based on a book by “Gone Girl” author Gillian Flynn, and has a star-studded cast led by Charlize Theron. The Oscar award winning star plays “a woman who survives the murder of her family as a child, and later joins a secret society obsessed with solving crimes to deal with the loss as an adult,” per A24.
Theron is joined by Chloe Grace Moretz, Nicholas Hoult, Christina Hendricks, Tye Sheridan and Corey Stoll. Oscar award winning Producer (“Crash”) Cathy Schulman also worked on the film. The release date is not yet available.
