COMIX: Beyond the Comic Book Pages
Tweetable Logline: An in-depth look at the art of comic books and the phenomenon told by the fans, writers, artists & creators like Stan Lee and Frank Miller.
Elevator Pitch: Comic books tell stories. “COMIX,” the movie, tells the story of comic books and the phenomenon surrounding them. COMIX is a full-length documentary film featuring exclusive one-on-one interviews with icons from the comic book industry, including creators like Stan Lee, creator of the Marvel Universe, Frank Miller of Sin City and 300, artists like Neal Adams and John Romita Jr, writers like Mark Waid, and so much more! I wanted to make a film about the heroes of the comic book world: creators, artists, writers, publishers, store owners, and especially the fans, many whom I found were just like me.
Production Team:

About the film: About ten years ago, I had an idea to make a comic book. This idea led me to create the feature documentary film, “COMIX: Beyond the Comic Book Pages” which is about comic books and the phenomenon surrounding them. I wanted to make a film about the heroes of the comic book world: creators, artists, writers, publishers, store owners, and especially the fans, many whom I found were just like me. After capturing 300 hours of interview footage, “COMIX” has been tapped to a 83-minute documentary film and slated for a 2015 finish. SO excited to share these great stories!
