Project of the Day: ‘Found Footage 3D’

Project of the Day: 'Found Footage 3D'

Here’s your daily dose of an indie film in progress — at the end of the week, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

Found Footage 3D

Tweetable Logline: Smart. Funny. Scary. #FoundFootage3D is the “Scream” for Found Footage movies. #FF3D #Indiegogo

Elevator Pitch: Smart, funny and scary as hell. What “Scream” did for slashers, “Found Footage 3D” (FF3d for short) aims to do for found footage.

Production Team:
Steven DeGennaro – Writer / Director / Producer
Kim Henkel – Producer
Charles Mulford – Producer
Scott Weinberg – Co-producer
Jeff Schwan – Stunt coordinator
Everett Byrom III – Special effects supervisor
Eric Zapata – Special makeup effects artist –

About the film: A lot of found footage movies suck. For every classic like Blair Witch, there are twenty vomit-inducing amateur crapfests made by people looking to make a quick buck because they think you are too dumb to know better. I’m sick of it and I think you are, too. Which is why we made “Found Footage 3D.” The characters in the film know all of the rules, tricks, and clichés of the genre. Like “Scream,” it turns clichés on their heads and exposes many of the genre’s recent efforts for what they are. “FF3D” is not just funny—it’s scary as hell.

Current Status: We’re fundraising for festivals and are in post-production.
