With an atmosphere full of escalating discomfort, the new trailer for writer-director Saverio Costanzo’s psychological drama “Hungry Hearts” evokes the classic slow-burn thrillers of Roman Polanski and Alfred Hitchcock.
“Girls” Emmy-nominee Adam Driver and Alba Rohrwacher star as a young married couple in New York City who engage in a fateful struggle over the life of their newborn child. The trailer perfectly sets up the divide between the couple’s fun loving start and their increasingly nightmarish child rearing. Both Driver and Rohrwacher won Coppa Volpi Awards (Best Actor/Actress Awards) in Venice for their performances.
IFC Films recently acquired domestic distribution rights to the film. Radiant Films International will handle foreign rights. Watch the trailer below:
