Ridley Scott Says He Still Hasn't Decided Whether He'll Direct 'Blade Runner 2' Or Not

Let the backtracking begin! It wasn’t that long ago when Ridley Scott said decisively that he wouldn’t be directing “Blade Runner 2,” with production on the sequel slated to kick off next year and presumably conflict with his plans to make his other sci-fi movie, “The Martian,” with Matt Damon. Well, he’s actually not quite sure about all of that.

“I don’t know about [not directing ‘Blade Runner 2’] yet,” the director told Yahoo, going on to explain why it’s so hard to let this one go to someone else to helm.

“The script is very, very good. Very good. I wouldn’t know [what sort of director we’d want]. It’s a hard one to track because it’s a very personal piece of my work,” Scott said. ”[‘Blade Runner’] may be one of the most personal pieces I did. I got so beaten up for it, I said I’d never try that again. But here we are. It’s sitting there ready to be made.”

So, should Ridley pass the torch? Is it worth holding it back if it gets him behind the camera? Hit up our comment section and let us know.
