Watch: 'Appropriate Behavior' Trailer Takes on Bisexuality and Bad Brooklyn Parties

Director, actor and writer Desiree Akhavan’s first full-length feature “Appropriate Behavior” follows a young woman trying to navigate her way through a difficult break up while dealing with her eclectic, often suffocating Persian family. 

“Appropriate Behavior” premiered at Sundance 2013 and took home a screenwriting award at Outfest earlier this year. Akhavan also received an Independent Spirit Award nomination last week for her first screenplay. 

The trailer depicts a troubled twenty-something who yearns for her parents’ approval and a satisfying love life.”Appropriate Behavior” will be in theaters and on VOD beginning January 16, 2015. Check out the trailer below:
