For its Great Performers issue, The New York Times Magazine had photographer and filmmaker Elaine Constantine shoot nine entrancing short films starring some of this year’s most talked-about actors, including Benedict Cumberbatch, Reese Witherspoon, Jack O’Connell, Shailene Woodley and David Oyelowo. The series of shorts, titled “This Year’s Best Actors in 9 Kisses,” features some bizarre smooches. You’ll never look at Steve Carell the same.
