Watch: 'Girls' Season 4 Trailer Ignores the Haters, Stays True to Its Brooklyn Self

No matter how you feel about Lena Dunham’s idiosyncratic take on twenty-something life, based on this new trailer Season 4 looks unlikely to deviate much from the show’s established past. The quartet of young white women who have been flailing their way through relationships and careers since 2012 still seem to be…well, flailing and making bad decisions; they also still seem relatively united by friendship and (behind the scenes) Dunham’s strong authorial take.

The trailer, set to the song “I Believe (Get Over Yourself)” by Nico Vega (based on its title alone, perhaps the most perfect “Girls” soundtrack choice ever made) features the regular cast as well as a few returning players, like Andrew Rannells and Gaby Hoffman.

It also reveals the role Gillian Jacobs was brought on to play: A motivational speaker on YouTube, which actually shouldn’t be too big a struggle for “Community” fans to integrate into their fanfic.

Point is, no matter where you fall on the subject of “Girls,” you now know what you’ll be doing on January 11 — watching a show you enjoy or complaining bitterly about it. Check out the trailer below.
