Watch Nicki Minaj's Highly-Stylized 16-Minute Short Film Based on 'Pinkprint' Album

It’s a very rare occurrence that Nicki Minaj’s name is mentioned on this blog, even if only because her primary industry is music, not film or TV, which is what we cover; although she does have acting credits.

But it’s Saturday, and I thought this was something worth bookmarking.

It’s being called an “epic” breakup-inspired “Pinkprint” movie – “Pinkprint” being the name of her latest album (“The Pinkprint” is the full title). The short is essentially a trio of music videos edited into one, telling the story of a fractured romance, through to its tragic end.

Minaj stars, along with pretty-boys, actor Boris Kodjoe and model Willy Monfret, in the 16-minute short film/music video, which is split into 3 chapters:  “The Crying Game,” “I Lied” and “Grand Piano;” all songs from the “Pinkprint” album.

The stylized short premiered on Revolt yesterday (P. Diddy’s YouTube channel), and is embedded below (I’m sure there will be a few *think* pieces written about this):
