Watch: 'Sarah Koenig' Loses Her Damn Mind in 'Serial' Funny or Die Sketch

As “Serial” host Sarah Koenig gears up for the final episode of the popular podcast, fake Sarah Koenig (AKA “SNL” and “Trophy Wife’s” Michaela Watkins) stars in a Funny or Die skit parodying the series and its fans.
Some folks might find it inappropriate that Funny Or Die made a comedic sketch about the true crime series “Serial.” But rather than making fun of the fact that a teenage girl was murdered and that the accused Adnan Syed is in jail, the skit is more about the pressure on Koenig to wrap the entire story up in a nice package during the final episode. For there have been more than a few think pieces floating around the web, arguing back and forth wondering if “Serial” can still be a quality piece of entertainment if it doesn’t provide a satisfactory conclusion or answer all of its mysteries. (Those arguing on the negative side might be the same people who hated the finale of “Lost.”)
To that end, this Funny or Die short addresses the idea that it might all be for naught, along with some biting racial commentary and a few stabs at Mail Chimp for good measure. The final episode of “Serial” comes out tomorrow. Check out the skit below:
