Indiewire’s Awards Editor Peter Knegt will provide regular updates on the Golden Globe film races leading up to the nominations announcement December 11 at 8am ET.
If Michael Keaton has one awards-related certainty in his future, it’s winning this Golden Globe. The “Birdman” actor will lose a few votes to Bill Murray (“St. Vincent”) and Ralph Fiennes (“The Grand Budapest Hotel”), but it’s hard to picture either of those topping Mr. Keaton, who has never been nominated for a Golden Globe before.
Ralph Fiennes, “The Grand Budapest Hotel”
Michael Keaton, “Birdman”
Bill Murray, “St. Vincent”
Joaquin Phoenix, “Inherent Vice”
Christoph Waltz, “Big Eyes”
Will Win: Michael Keaton, “Birdman”
Could Win: Ralph Fiennes, “The Grand Budapest Hotel”
Should Win: Ralph Fiennes, “The Grand Budapest Hotel”
Shoulda Been Here: Bill Hader, “The Skeleton Twins”
