First-time director Crystal Moselle has one of the most buzzed-about documentaries playing at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
Her debut, “The Wolfpack,” concerns six brothers who stayed locked inside a Manhattan apartment during their early years. To cope, the teens turned to movies to teach them about life. The boys aren’t just cinephiles; movies are their only world. In “The Wolfpack,” Moselle trains the camera on the boys as they begin to break out of their insular world.
Ahead of the film’s world premiere this Sunday, check out the poster, exclusive to Indiewire. It’s no coincidence it brings to mind the poster art of “Reservoir Dogs.” The brothers are all obsessed with Quentin Tarantino’s classic and reenact iconic scenes in the documentary.
