The winning filmmaker will receive a digital distribution consultation from SnagFilms and will become a candidate for the January Project of the Month. That winner will be awarded with a creative consultation from the fine folks at the Tribeca Film Institute and will be in the running for Project of the Year.
The four projects up for this week’s Project of the Week are listed below (with descriptions courtesy of the filmmakers):
Out of Luck: “Out of Luck” is the first documentary to look at the system of state lotteries in America. Do you know where the lottery money goes?
The Original Black Sheep: A quirky coming-of-age story about a young man who inherits the ancestral family ghost from his eccentric grandfather.
Driftwood: A chamber piece revolving around two characters whose relationship is driven by manipulation and fear.
The Last Hour: A violent event forces two helpless strangers to reveal the circumstances of their guilt-ridden lives that have brought them together.
