Watch: Ashley Benson's Been Hacked in Exclusive 'Ratter' Clip

It’s not just Ashley Benson who is at risk. We all are.

Based on the short film “Webcam,” “Ratter” is a horror-thriller about a young woman, who, like her peers, is always “connected.” Whether it’s her phone or her laptop, Emma is always “on” — making her an easy target for hackers using RAT (Remote Access Trojan), a type of malware that can be used to take control of a person’s webcam and/or overall device.

Slated to premiere in competition at the Slamdance Film Festival later this month, “Ratter” stars Ashley Benson, who is best known for her performances in Harmony Korine’s “Spring Breakers” and the hit ABC Family TV series “Pretty Little Liars.” As you will see in the clip below, rather than telling the story from Emma’s perspective, “Ratter” places the audience directly inside the hacker’s point-of-view — a point-of-view that is unsettling, to say the least.
