Watch: Patrick Stewart's New Starz Series 'Blunt Talk' Gets Punny in Trailer

Executive produced by comedy juggernaut Seth McFarlane, starring actual Knight of the Realm Patrick Stewart, and showrunner’d (or is it showrun?) by cult hit writer Jonathan Ames, “Blunt Talk” has quite the crack team behind it. This isn’t McFarlane and Stewart’s first time working together — they previously collaborated when Stewart played the fan-favorite character of CIA Deputy Director Avery Bullock on “American Dad” — and they’re not a team to be missed.

The new Starz half-hour comedy features Stewart as Walter Blunt, a British import set on conquering American cable news by schooling Americans on how best to do… well, everything. Of course, his personal life (and a good portion of his professional life) is in shambles, and this character-driven story follows him through the trials and travails of some superlatively bad decision-making.

“Blunt Talk” is set to premiere later this year, and currently has a two-season, twenty-episode order. Watch the clip below for a teaser of the Patrick Stewart-driven goodness to come:
