You’ll be glad to finally have the opportunity to take a look at Reinaldo Marcus Green’s 14-minute short film, “Stone Cars,” which was selected for the 2014 Cannes Cinéfondation sidebar (a selection of 15 to 20 short and medium-length films, picked from a total of 3,450 short film entries, representing 128 countries, presented by film schools from all over the world).
The coming-of-age story, set in the shacks of Khayelitsha township, in Western Cape, South Africa, follows April, a girl who is faced with a tough decision that she will ultimately have to live with for the rest of her life.
