Does the 'House of Cards' Season 3 Motion Poster Show the Future or the Past?

It’s a little more than a .gif and a little less than a trailer. In true Internet-is-the-future fashion, Netflix has dropped a “moving poster” for the upcoming third season of its hit political drama “House of Cards.” In the 12-second graphic, Mr. and Mrs. Underwood disembark from Air Force One onto…another country? DC? The future? My heart? With so little to go on and so much at stake, every detail bears heavy symbolism. Like, is Claire wearing gloves? Is it a Lady Macbeth thing with the gloves? What do the gloves mean?

Answers to these questions and more will be revealed when all episodes of Season 3 drop on Netflix, February 27.
