Tweetable Logline: Wounds may heal, but scars never go away. ‘Paper Cuts’ tackles eating disorders, cutting and family in a new feature film.
Elevator Pitch: “Paper Cuts” deals with some heavy issues that aren’t addressed very often in mainstream cinema. Eating disorders, cutting / self-harm, revenge porn, and convincing the world that everything is okay… even when it’s not. Telling the story from a female POV, ‘Paper Cuts’ comes from a woman writer, Kelli Horan, and a woman director, Ima Leupp — a combination that’s very rare in today’s filmmaking environment. Starring Danielle Evon Ploeger (“Summer League”) and Lisa Friedrich (“Meet Me There”) with Matthew Palmer (“Inspire Pro”) and Brad Silman. Produced in Austin, Texas.

About the Film: We all know someone with mental health issues – whether we know it or not. This film tackles issues that are often either ignored or only discussed in hushed tones. We bring the issues of depression to light in a realistic and relatable way that helps bring insight and hope. By contributing to this film, you are helping us to raise awareness of these issues in a creative field.
