We’re running out of adjectives to describe the success of “Empire.” After impressing early on with strong ratings that only grew as new episodes came out, FOX’s hit drama has continued to surpass the wildest of expectations by again topping itself in Week 6. That’s six consecutive weeks of ratings growth, a record for broadcast television; one that “Empire” keeps setting (and so far breaking) with each passing episode.
Now FOX is looking to double up on the show’s popularity by taking its star — Terrence Howard — and putting him front and center in the ad campaign for the network’s new horror series, “Wayward Pines.” Previous buzz focused on M. Night Shyamalan’s involvement as an executive producer, but with the rise of an “Empire” comes new marketing strategies.
Take a look at the spooky new trailer below, and then tell us in the comments if you’ll be visiting “Wayward Pines” — and why.
