R.I.P. Richard Glatzer

R.I.P. Richard Glatzer

Some very sad news: Richard Glatzer passed away from complications from ALS today at the age of 63, just a few weeks after his final film "Still Alice" won Julianne Moore an Academy Award.

Glatzer made his directorial debut with the 1993 film "Grief" (which won Frameline’s Best Film prize) before finding a romantic and professional partnership with Wash Westmoreland, with whom he directed "The Fluffer," Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner "Quinceañera," "The Last of Robin Hood" and "Still Alice." The two were married in 2013, and represent a beautiful and rare thing in the film world in their dual partnership.

Glatzer will certainly be missed by his fans and friends alike.
