READ MORE: How ‘Interstellar’ Took Christopher and Jonathan Nolan to a New Dimension
There’s no denying it — if we continue on the same route, what happens to the Earth in Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar” will happen in reality.
Inspired by the sci-fi epic, the filmmakers behind the short film “EMIC: A Time Capsule From The People of Earth” want to leave a legacy behind. The Interstellar X Google Play short film asks the question: “When we leave Earth, how will we remember it?” Or, from a different perspective — how might others in the universe know of our existence?
From director and editor David Brodie and creative director Angus Wall, the short film was curated by acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan, compiled from over 10,000 submissions from people all over the world, highlighting the human spirit and how that manifests itself around the globe. It is a reflection of how we view ourselves, and how we want to be remembered.
“EMIC: A Time Capsule From The People of Earth” is now available for free on Google Play.
