“The D Train” focuses on Dan Landsman, played by Black, who is in charge of planning his high school reunion. The only problem is that Landsman was never exactly popular, making the planning stages somewhat difficult. In comes Oliver Lawless, played by Marsden, who was the most popular kid in high school and is now a hotshot commercial actor. Landsman is convinced that if he can get the unpredictable Lawless to the reunion, then it will be a success. But what starts as an innocent turn to be popular turns into a web of lies and a disturbing obsession.
“The D Train” comes to theaters May 8.
