For the first time, the original British “Queer as Folk” will air in full on U.S. cable. This weekend and next, Logo will marathon one of the greatest TV shows of all-time (it’s true!), starting this Saturday, April 4th at 10pm and then again the following Saturday at the same time. The ten-episode 1999 series (which stars an incredibly hot teenage Charlie Hunnam) followed a group of queer folk in Manchester, UK. It was created by Russell T. Davies, whose latest series — “Cucumber” and “Banana” — works as a sort of spiritual sequel to “Queer As Folk,” two interwoven drama series exploring 21st century gay life in Manchester. Those shows premiere on Logo next week, and we’ll have plenty more on them in the coming days… But in the meantime, definitely don’t miss the “QAF” marathon.
