Spoilery rumors lie ahead, so if you don’t wanna know, go somewhere else. But first, let’s rewind a bit. Back in January, it was speculated that Ben Affleck‘s Batman would appear in now-filming “Suicide Squad.” It would be a small appearance, one that essentially sets up a solo movie down the line. Now consider that in the context of this latest chatter.
Firstly, Ben Affleck has been spotted in Toronto where, not coincidentally, “Suicide Squad” is shooting. That has allowed Latino Review to open up on buzz they’ve heard that Jared Leto‘s nu-metal The Joker will appear in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice” in a flashback sequence.
Apparently, the scene will explain why The Joker is in prison in “Suicide Squad” — it will detail the villain murdering Robin, with the sidekick’s glass casket likely triggering Bruce Wayne to sadly reminisce about his former pal.
It’s a helluva theory, and would make a powerful tie between Warner Bros. two huge DC Comics movies dropping in 2016. It’s not clear if David Ayer will direct this extra sequence, or if Zack Snyder will quietly roll into Toronto to handle it, but what do you think about this possible development? Does ‘Batman v Superman’ have enough characters already? Let us know below. And oh yeah, Jack Nicholson has some big feelings about Jared Leto’s Joker…
