The winning filmmaker will receive a digital distribution consultation from SnagFilms and will become a candidate for the March Project of the Month. That winner will be awarded with a creative consultation from the fine folks at the Tribeca Film Institute and will be in the running for Project of the Year.
The four projects up for this week’s Project of the Week are listed below (with descriptions courtesy of the filmmakers). You can vote at the bottom of the page.
The Devil on Wheels: “The Devil On Wheels” will explore Spielberg’s “Duel” from its making to the way fans keep it very much alive. Fans are the driving force!
The Rising Star Project: Documentary following 100 high school students who put on a million dollar musical in Seattle’s 5th Ave Theatre and how mentoring changes their lives.
Ovum: “Ovum” is a dark comedy about a quirky Brooklyn actress who tries The Method to approach an Off-Broadway role and is drawn into the strange world of egg donation clinics and the unlikely characters who populate them: from unscrupulous doctors with mind bending fertility drugs to the broken, nihilistic model donors.
America’s Blues: A documentary that explores the impact that Blues Music has had on our society, popular culture, and the entertainment industry.
Voting will end Monday, April 6 at 11 a.m. ET.
