Check out this exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Season 1 of WGN America’s “Manhattan,” and you’ll discover how the show’s cast and crew came to understand how the original scientists living in Los Alamos must have really felt.

“Manhattan” is a fictional look at scientists during the Manhattan Project, where the men and women working to develop the atom bomb were forced to keep the truth from their families. The show stars Rachel Brosnahan, John Benjamin Hickey, Michael Chernus, Olivia Williams, Harry Lloyd, Ashley Zukerman and more.

This clip features both interviews with the cast as well as footage from the 40s, and it’s really cool to see how incredibly authentic the show looks in comparison.

Season 1 of “Manhattan” will be available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD on April 7. Season 2 will premiere this summer.
