If you have any inkling to watch all of your favorite comics in a single sitting, then Kevin Pollak’s “Misery Loves Comedy” is your next movie. The documentary gathers the likes of Amy Schumer, Jimmy Fallon, Larry David and many more as they discuss their upbringing, careers and relationships to comedy.

Pollak, a prolific actor and comedian himself, joined Indiewire’s Nigel Smith at the Apple Store in Soho, Manhattan for one of Apple and Indiewire’s Tribeca Talks to talk about the film, from the personalities assembled to the stories shared to even the mixed reviews to come out in the past few weeks. In a short clip posted above, the director shares his insights on the difference between acting and stand-up comedy — a difference, he says, which is actually quite massive.

You can watch the whole panel discussion on iTunes here, or listen to it in podcast form here.
