With two months to go before Season 3 breaks out across the Netflix streaming services, Netflix has announced that it’s commissioned a fourth season of “Orange is the New Black” for 2016.

There’s as yet no set pattern to when Netflix decides to pick up new seasons of its programming. “Bloodline” waited over a week after its premiere to get the news, while “House of Cards” took a month to receive official word. But so far, “Orange is the New Black” does have a decent track record of getting the nod in advance, last year getting renewed for Season 3 well ahead of its Season 2 premiere.

It’s yet another sign of good faith for the award-winning drama, as it anticipates its hardest awards season yet following a recent ruling labeling it a drama series, not a comedy, at this year’s Emmys. Though in this new Season 3 clip provided by Netflix, it’s easy to see why the Emmys took that position, as Crazy Eyes (Uzo Aduba) rages over plot threads left dangling in the Season 2 finale. “Orange is the New Black” Season 3 premieres June 12 on Netflix.
