Of course, Schumer puts her own hilarious spin on the trial proceedings, which are entirely concerned with whether or not she is considered attractive enough to be on television. The jury members — including Paul Giamatti, Jeff Goldblum, John Hawkes and Vincent Kartheiser — take their roles as the deliberators incredibly seriously, allowing Schumer to lampoon the criticism that is too often leveled at her with the trademark bluntness that has made her sketches so popular.
This episode continues “Inside Amy Schumer’s” third-season hot streak, which has seen viral sketches such as Milk Milk Lemonade, Girl, You Don’t Need Makeup, Last F**kable Day and Compliments bring to light the ridiculousness of the standards today’s women face.
“12 Angry Men Inside Amy Schumer” airs Tuesday, May 5 at 10:30pm on Comedy Central.
